Penwal is frequently approached by customers who know the end result that they want, but do not know how to build it themselves. Our engineering team works with them to provide the solution, and then makes it happen. Many of our long-lasting client relationships also stem from the success of having made for the customer what other suppliers told them could not be built.

A 1:3 Scale Airbus A380 the size of a Boeing 737 that could be transported to London, meet strict weight limitations, and resist wind, rain and other possible extreme ambient conditions? Penwal showed Emirates Airways how it could be done. The creation of a full scale replica – with tight tolerance – of the Optical Telescope Element of the next-generation James Webb Space Telescope for engineering study, taking into account the difference between the zero gravity deployment environment and the full gravity test environment? Penwal figured out how to do it. A full scale, 360’ replica of the Saturn V rocket, able to withstand hurricane-force winds and FAA codes? Penwal did it for the US Space and Rocket Center.
